Personal Project

I've added a personal project to the two collabs. a solo character acting piece i'm quite enjoying and looking forward to. The clip is from The Man Who Knew Too Little an absolute classic, and one of my personal favorites! I love the irony as it's an acting piece and he's talking about how actors do it, tears in this instance.

Motion Builder Update 02

These are the beast animations I've done so far's test, to see where tweaking is needed. as well as to update the blog. still needed: at least two Idle poses, and then an attempt to merge two of the animations into the idles.

Motion Builder Project

It's been a while, since the last post, I finished a bit more pre production on my major, tied up loose ends, and have started a project in motion builder. we are to take the original animation provided, clean it up, then add two seperate clips of original animation into the animation provided. This clip I've included is the clean up of the provided animation

Initial Ideas

These are 3 of my initial ideas for fight cycles and sequences, I can't start on the General yet as it is still being story boarded.

Barbarion Collaboration

Matt Oliver, Ben Tester and Sam Townsend have started a collaboration project which is a hyper realistic fight between barbarians and soldiers. I've chosen to join them as I feel a hyper realistic body mechanic sequence will be great for my showreel. I am tasked to do a general inside a tent, as well as several fight cycles and sequences.

Finally Done!

I have finally finished all I have time to do. If I had more time I would fix the glich in the middle of the run cycle as well as do the animation of the running guy falling down!

Update On Ball Project

So I've finished every animation REQUIRED for the ball project, will be posting it on here soon, but I don't feel challenged enough, so am doing three more animations towards the brief. And I want to practice more editing things with the graph editor, it's a nerve racking piece of software as the slightest change to the majority of the limbs throw the rest of it off and to tidy it all up with it looking as one body as well as a realistic motion is quite the challenge! Challenge accepted!

Bouncing Balls Wk1

We have just finished our first week of learning Maya now, The first project was to redo bouncing balls down stairs, it's an extremely easy project, and thus gives us more of a chance to learn the software without having to concentrate on too much thumbnailing and character implimentations. Still haven't learned how to properly render out a video, they all come out very low quality, must learn this on monday!

First Project: Maya

I've just entered into my third year of computer animation! woo! the first thing on the agenda this year is to learn maya. so far it seems to be a better organized software that openely displays the tools relevant to your work place, but in doing that it also seems some things are more complicated to find, but all in all I like Maya!
